MEP Design Manager

I.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the MEP Design department/team. Take full accountability for all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design documentation across projects.

• Quality Assurance: Review, evaluate, and approve design solutions and technical drawings for all MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection).

• Compliance & Optimization: Ensure designs strictly comply with prevailing standards and codes (TCVN, NFPA, IEC, etc.) while implementing Value Engineering to optimize project costs.

• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Lead Architects and Structural Managers to resolve spatial conflicts (Clash Detection) through BIM/Revit modeling.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise directly with Clients, verification consultants, and government authorities to present and defend design proposals.

II.     REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Thermal/Refrigeration Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or related fields.

• Certification: Possession of a Grade I or II MEP Design Practice Certificate is mandatory.

• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial position overseeing MEP design for large-scale projects.

• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of both local and international design standards.

• Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and specialized engineering calculation software.

• Languages: Professional proficiency in Technical English (for reading documentation and drawing review).
